Recently,
Makino (Thailand)
Co., Ltd. as a dealer of Makino Brand machines, held the Makino Thailand
invitational Golf Tournament at Bangpakong Riverside Country Club. There were
125 golf players joining this tournament. The objective was to create good relationship
between Makino, customers and business alliances plus entrepreneurs in the same
industry for closer cooperation. It was a good opportunity for the
industrialists to share experiences and exchange information among each other.
1. Foreign investors
say Vietnam
still lags

In the biannual Vietnam Business Forum
organized by World Bank and Vietnam's Ministry of Planning and Investment
recently, Mr. Adam Sitkoff, director of AmCham revealed that the foreign
investors in Vietnam had voiced their concern and warned the Vietnam government
to diminish all obstacles by improving the infrastructure system in the
country, developing the labor skill and adjusting the government policy so as
to accommodate more investment by the foreign investors. Additionally, these investors agreed that Vietnam, as a
member country of ASEAN, has high potential and fast economic growth. According to
the report from the Asian Development Bank; during the past 20 years Vietnam has an average annual growth of 7.1%,
but due to those perennial barriers, the country is still far from resembling Taiwan, Singapore
or South Korea
where the fast economic growth earned them the label of Tiger economies.
先日行われた世界銀行とベトナム計画投資省主催による年2回のベトナムビジネスフォーラムの場で、AmCham取締役Adam Sitkoff氏は、ベトナムでの外国人投資家が懸念を表明していること、国の基盤システムの整備、労働者のスキル開発、政策の調整などのすべての障害を軽減して外国人投資家からより多くの投資を受け入れられるようにすることについて、ベトナム政府に警鐘を鳴らしたことを明らかにしました。さらにASEANの一員であるベトナムが高い潜在力と速い経済成長性を持っていることは、投資家の間で共通の理解となっています。アジア開発銀行の報告書によると、ベトナムは過去20年間に年平均7.1％で成長を遂げてきましたが、一連の障壁により、「タイガー経済国」と呼ばれる高度成長を遂げた台湾、シンガポール、韓国にはいまだに遠く及ばない状況となっています。
2. Thailand's Banpu sets to
double output
タイのBanpu、産出量を２倍に設定
Banpu Plc, the Asean's largest coal miner, wants to double
its output to 46 million tones of coal next year, due to higher acquisition of
Sydney-based Centennial Coal and more production from Indonesian mines. The production
of coal in Indonesian mines will be increasing from 22 to 26 million tones,
while two mines in China
will contribute approx. 5.5 million tones, said Somrudee Chaimongkol, Banpu's
chief financial officer. Centennial,
which Banpu took over for a$2 billion (59.3 billion baht), will produce a
minimum average of 14.5 million tones in 2011, she said. This year's production was 1 million tones less than
its target due to the heavy rainfall. Centennial,
according to its last fiscal year ending in June, was capable to produce only
14.5 million tones. Ms. Somrudee added that the company will change the fiscal
year schedule of the Australian company into the normal calendar year, which
will be the same as Banpu, and that is easier for Banpu to consolidate
Centennial into the company's financial results, Banpu chief executive Chanin
Vongkusolkit said. This year, the coal
price is rising and already hits $110 per ton. It is expected that Banpu's average selling price next year will be higher
than this year and it might quote at $78 per ton in the third quarter, compared
to the 2009 average of $71.
ASEAN最大の炭鉱会社であるBanpu Plc社はシドニーに拠点のあるCentennial Coalの買収とインドネシアにおける生産量の増加により、来年度の産出量を2倍の4,600万トンにすることを計画しています。Banpu最高財務責任者のSomrudee Chaimongkol女氏は次のように述べています。「インドネシアでの石炭生産量は2,200万トンから2,600万トンに増加し、一方中国の2つの炭鉱では約550万トンの産出が見込まれています。Banpuが20億ドル（593億バーツ）で買収したCentennial社は、2011年には最小平均1,450万トンを産出する予定です」。今年は大雨のため目標より少ない100万トンの産出量となりました。最後の会計年度末である6月には、145万トンだけ生産できました。ソムルディー（Somrudee）女史はオーストラリア企業の会計年度をBanpuと同じ通常の暦年に変更し、Banpuの会計報告への統合を用意にするとしています。またBanpu社長のチャニン・ヴォンクソルキット（Chanin Vongkusolkit）氏は、「今年は石炭の価格が上昇しており、すでにトン当たり110ドルに達しています。来年の平均販売価格は今年より高いと予想しており、2009年の平均71ドルに対して、第3四半期では、トン当たり78ドルと見積もっています」と述べてます。

3. IEAT and BIG
jointly opened the first High-Purity Nitrogen Tire Inflation Station in Map Ta
Phut.
ＩＥＡＴとＢＩＧ、共同でマープタープットに高純度窒素タイヤインフレーションスタンドを開設

Managing Director, presided over the opening ceremony of the First-High-Purity
Nitrogen Tire Inflation Station in Map Ta Phut. This
first tire inflation station uses 99% high-purity nitrogen gas, and has been
set up for the public use which will be beneficial to all car owners around the
Map Ta Phut area, plus other provinces nearby. The station is located at Suan Pumirak, Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate,
Rayong. Nitrogen is the better choice comparing to the conventional air which
contains more oxygen and humidity that is the main cause for the gas in the
tire to enlarge and shrink irregularly. Apart
from the safety benefits, the inflated tires with nitrogen can increase
efficiency of the fuel use and reduce petrol consumption by 2%. Additionally, not only will it extend the tire life,
but also helps preserving the environment.

Tanprasert）氏（中央）と経営陣およびBIG最高経営責任者、ピヤバット・チャルペン（Piyabut Charuphen）氏（右から２人目）は、マープタープットで初となる高純度窒素タイヤインフレーションスタンドの開会式を主催しました。ここでは99％の高純度窒素ガスを使用し、マープタープット地域およびその周辺部のすべての車所有者にとって利便性が向上する一般向けスタンドとして設置されました。スタンドは、ラヨーン県マープタープット工業団地、スアン・プミラクに設置されています。一般の空気に含まれる酸素と水分はタイヤ中にて不規則な膨張、収縮を引き起こしますので窒素のほうが優れています。安全上の恩恵はさておき、窒素で充填されたタイヤは燃料効率を高め、ガソリン消費を2％抑えます。さらに、タイヤの寿命を延ばすだけでなく、環境保全にも役立ちます。

Caterpillar Purchases 140 Rais of Land in RIL
キャタピラー、ラヨーン工業団地に140ライの土地を購入
Caterpillar Underground Mining Pty Ltd.,
an Australia subsidiary of
Caterpillar USA the
worlds leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment and Fortune 500 Company, recently concluded
the deal to purchase 140 rais of land for Caterpillars first manufacturing
facility in Thailand in Hemaraj Rayong Industrial
Land. Scheduled to begin an operation in late 2012, the
facility will produce a full range of underground mining articulated trucks and
loaders, which are used by Caterpillar customers around the world for hard-rock
underground mining applications.
建設および採鉱装置の世界的製造メーカーで、フォーチュン500社のCaterpillar USA のオーストラリア子会社であるCaterpillar
Underground Mining Pty Ltdは、先日ラヨーン工業団地ヘマラートに、140ライのタイ初の製造工場の建設用地を購入することを決定しました。2012年後半の操業開始を予定しており、世界中の硬岩質地下採掘を行うCaterpillar顧客に対して、すべての地下採掘用連結トラックおよびローダーを製造する予定です。

5. Taiwan is ready to launch Taipei AMPA, 27th Edition
台湾、第27回台北AMPA開催へ
Mr. Justin C. K. Tai, director of Taiwan Trade
Center, Bangkok,
held a press conference for The 27th Taipei International Auto
Parts & Accessories Show which is the largest trade and technology, parts
and components exhibition for Asian Automotive manufacturing industry in Taipei, Taiwan,
during April 12-15, 2010. It is expected that there will be more than 1,150
exhibitors participated in the show, increasing more than 11% comparing to last
year. The highlights include
LED technology and the innovative parts and components for the hybrid cars,
plus the most advanced safety equipments and components, for more than 5,500
visitors coming to the show.
バンコクの台湾貿易センター部長Justin C. K. Tai氏は、「第27回台北国際自動車部品およびアクセサリー展示会」のための記者会見を開催しました。この展示会は、2010年4月12日～15日までの期間、台湾、台北市で開かれるアジア自動車製造業で最大の貿易および技術、部品およびコンポーネント展示会です。昨年に比べ１１％増加の1,150社以上の参加が予想されています。LED技術とハイブリッド車関連の革新的なパーツやコンポーネント、さらに最新の安全装備とコンポーネントが目玉となり、5,500名以上の来場者が見込まれています。
